At least 85-90% of the rabbit’s diet should consist of hay, grass and dried grass, as a guideline as much as the size of the rabbit’s body! They also need a small amount of nuggets – 20-25g per kg ideal bodyweight is all that is needed. You also need to make sure they have some green leafy salad as part of their diet and water should always be made available.

Healthy Snacks

Delicious natural and healthy snacks, like herbs are ideal for ‘fibrevores’ as they promote emotional health, by preventing boredom and it encourages bonding and interaction between you and your pet!

They can be fed daily as they are packed with beneficial fibre and made with natural ingredients. Some are designed to be fed by hand which helps your rabbit get comfortable with human attention. Snack works especially well when you mix it in the grass or hay.

Make sure you avoid yoghurt drops, different chew sticks and drops that come in all shapes and colours as they are normally high in sugar and can cause digestive problems.
