Working with the local press is one of the best ways of helping to spread the RAW message and with what we are trying to achieve with this year’s theme. Your main tool for working with the media is the press release, but before getting on with that you will need to consider what kind of events you would like to hold in your practice:
Sending Your Press Release
The best way to get your press release noticed is email it to the news desk or call them, if you have a good relationship with the reporters speak to them directly. It’s best to send your release to a newspaper a week in advance of when you want it to appear, keep in mind the newspaper’s deadlines, if you want a photographer at the event then you need to give it at least two weeks’ notice.
